Tarefa de leitura utilizando o Voki

Nível: pode ser aplicada em diversos níveis. No presente caso, será Básico A2.

Pre-watching:
1) Discuss the following question in pairs:
How good are you at dealing with unforeseen events?

( ) Great. I always find alternatives to solve the problem.
( ) I'm usually OK, but it depends on the situation.
( ) Not very good, but I always try to keep calm.
( ) Terrible. When something gets out of my control, I use to freak out.

During:

2) Now, read the sentences below, then watch the first part of the video and number the events as they occur:
( ) He thought of shaving with a knife.
( ) He tried the mobile app.
( ) The electric shaver broke.
( ) Someone rang the doorbell.
( ) He smiled at the mirror.

3) In pairs, discuss the possible things that you think he might have done in order to shave. Raise hypothesis using the expressions below as well as the Simple Past:
I think _______________________”
Maybe ______________________”

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

After watching:

Discuss the following questions in pairs:

5) The animated short video you have just watched makes a reference to a famous best-seller written a few years ago. What book is this? Have you read it? What is it about?
Yes, I have read it. It’s about ___________________________”
No, I haven’t read it. But I heard it is about ___________________________________”

6) The animation you have just watched shows the character's dilemma after his electric shaver broke. Without this device, he finds himself incapable of getting rid of his beard. He even tries to shave using a mobile app (but it doens't work, of course). With this situation in mind, discuss the following questions in groups of three:

A) In your opinion, does this situation reflect an aspect of our current society? What aspect is this?

B) How dependent on electronics are you?

( ) I'm completely dependent.
( ) Electronics are important in my life, but I guess I could manage without them.
( ) I use very few electronics in my daily life.
( ) I'm not dependent at all.

7) Make a list of the electronic devices you most use in your daily life, then share your list with your classmates. You can use a dictionary, if necessary.
